Dr.
Brijmohan Singhi is now with us as the Director to share his wide
experiences as a pioneer academician and researcher. He earned his
Ph.D degree in Engineering from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya,
Indore in 1982. He, before joining this institute, served the
University of Malasia Perlis as Professor in the School of
Computer and Tele-communication Engineering. Dr. Singhi started
his career as a lecturer in Electrical Engineering at SGSITS,
Indore, in 1969 where later he was promoted as Reader in the
Department of Electronics Engineering.
During his stay of 14
years at SGSITS, with excellence in academics, he developed
electronics related laboratories and completed many import
substitute industrial projects. He then switched to Research and
Development segment as Director in various industries. After 12
years of working in Industries, he migrated to academics and took
SVITS, Indore as his work-place. There he evolved the process of
teaching-learning and continuous assessment with affluent
transparency. He lead the team to earn the certificate of
achievement, ISO 9001-2000 and also to acquire NBA accreditation.
He chaired CSI, Indore Chapter for terms 1999-2000-2001.
Winner of two
national awards, he was the first overseas employee as a member of
the committee for the recruitment of teaching faculty for UniMAP,
Malaysia from India and Pakistan. He was a sitting reviewer of
international Conference on Man Machine System ICoMMS-2006. He is
life member of ISTE and IETE.
