National Symposium
on
“Climate Change and Environment Management” (NSCCEM
2011)
August 24, 2011
About
the Conference
Environment is a precious for the
well-being of future generations. Judicious management and protection of the
Environment are ways for sustainable development. Issues of pollution, treatment,
management and planning are essential to the future. Climate change is already underway.
It holds the potential to cause significant changes in physical and biological systems
in all the continents and oceans. It also threatens to destabilize natural phenomena
on a regional as well as global scale; some warning signs are already visible.
It will increase the ocean temperature, cause sea level rise and will have impact
on ocean circulation patterns, ice cover, fresh water run-off, salinity,
oxygen levels and water acidity. The consequences of climate change will be far reaching.
Climate change has the potential to damage state economy, natural resources and
the environment. Policymakers across the nation are seeing climate change as a
critical state issue. These policies often inspire discussion where broadly
different forecasts on climate change effects and costs are cited.
National symposium on climate
change and environment management 2011 aims to bring together researchers,
scientists, environmentalists and scholar students to exchange and share their
experiences, new ideas, and research results about all aspects of environment
and climate change policies and discuss the practical challenges encountered
and the solutions adopted. The symposium provides the latest science and policy
information to assist legislators in clarifying these differences.
This symposium helps policy makers to see the challenges and the opportunities
presented by climate change, as legislators work to create vibrant economies
and healthy environments far into the future.
